Scout Clean Energy Makes a Local Impact in the Illinois Valley

| Community

Scout is proud to be contributing to the Illinois Valley economy —the location of its SkyYield Wind and Solar projects. In late July, Scout attended the Marshall-Putnam County 4-H fair and purchased the Grand Champion Market Wether goat and the Grand Champion barrow. Scout donated both animals back to their respective farms.  The 4-H organization fosters critical thinking in youth and encourages young people to exercise their voice and take on rural issues; their mission is important to Scout’s investment in the project area. Visit the 4-H website to learn more about the organization.

Scout was also a Premier Sponsor of the Illinois Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Project manager Alex Weck attended the Walk in September and expressed his gratitude for being able to make a donation on behalf of Scout and contribute to the fight against Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Association uses donations to support victims of the disease and their loved ones.

Additionally, Scout recently supported the Farm Bureau of LaSalle County as a Gold level sponsor to the LaSalle County Agriculture in the Classroom Golf Outing. LaSalle County Farm Bureau’s Ag in the Classroom curriculum is a free program designed to help fourth grade students understand where their food comes from.

Scout Clean Energy is honored to contribute to these organizations and looks forward to continuing to make meaningful, local impacts in its communities.
