The Origination team leads Scout’s efforts to develop and cultivate client relationships, structure offtake arrangements, negotiate and structure Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs) and other contractual structures for our growing portfolio of development projects. We integrate knowledge from other teams at Scout to develop a pricing strategy and deal structure that meets the needs of our clients and meets our internal underwriting standards.
As Scout’s Origination Manager, you will play an important role in power marketing efforts at Scout. You will primarily be responsible for cultivating client relationships, assisting /conducting PPA negotiations, financially structuring offtake arrangements and revenue-side models as well as developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bilateral outreach proposals.

You will report to the Director of Origination. You will work alongside an Associate who conducts analysis, coordinates and contributes to RFP responses, and who interfaces frequently and collaborates well with all other teams at Scout.
You are a deal-oriented, analytically minded professional who likes to work with a wide range of people and is passionate about the ways that renewable energy will make the world a better place. You have a good understanding of risk in contractual terms and are creative in the way you manage that risk while meeting different clients’ needs.

Target base salary: $90,000 - $140,000 (negotiable)
